If I had to sum up my First Trimester in one word it would be: PUKE! For those of you who know me well, you understand that being sick is one of the worst things that could happen to me. And boy oh boy, baby did not care!
Lesson One of Early Parenthood: Nothing is about me anymore! and it never will be again. :o)
My first doctor's visit was quite interesting, I was more nervous about being at the doctor than anything, but it went very well. Healthy baby, Healthy Mommy and a Wide Eyed Dad! Our ultrasound was INCREDIBLE.. the little vomit inducer was actually there! So this was it, I wasnt just sick, I am actually pregnant!
In more recent realizations I've put two and two together and figured out that pregnancy means that in a few months I'll be a mom with a real baby to take care of. That thought made me want to take a nap.. So I did.
God's poured His blessings on our family over the past two years and I have no doubt that He will continue to do so and have a lot to teach me along the way. Its hard to fear parenthood when you are determined to let God do His Almighty work. Let Go, and Let God.. its the easiest, hardest thing to do. :o)
